hello out there

I know things have been pretty quiet over here, but we've been busy adjusting to life on the road, and welcoming the newest member of our family! August "Gus" was born on June 30, and he is just the sweetest thing. We have been stationed in Pendleton, Oregon since November, with a few side trips here and there, but we are moving on down the road again in September.
I am going to attempt to update this blog more regularly with our adventures, so stay tuned!

Last weekend we took the boys huckleberry picking at Indian Lake, they were like little black bears, stuffing berries in their mouths as fast as they could pick 'em.

home sweet home...

Here she is! Our new home on wheels. I think the interior is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen in my life. Let's take a peek!

Ooh la la! Very hospital chic, non?

The boys' room! Cozy!

Aaaaand the spacious bathroom.
Don't get me wrong, I am SO EXCITED about living in this thing, but I can't wait to start working on some redecoration projects. We move in on 11/11, so maybe I will be able to make a few improvements before then...

getting started

I am getting ready to take some pictures of our new house, a 30' 2004 Komfort Trailblazer 5th wheel! We have decided to make this huge change in our lives so that we can stay together as a family while Casey (Papa) travels for work. We will likely be in each place for several months to a year, which may seem like a pretty long time, but I am sooo tired of packing up a whole house, and searching for new rentals in each town. Plus having to deal with leases and landlords. Barf.
Pretty much everyone we talk to says we are crazy to do this, but I like the idea of being totally self contained.
I will update more later, but I should go get some work done while the boys are napping...
